We are delighted to announce that Oliver Kendrick has joined Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors as a Graduate Building Surveyor, further strengthening our Building Surveying team and supporting the continued growth of our professional services across Lancashire and the wider North West.
Oliver joined Lea Hough after graduating from the University of Lancashire with a First-Class Honours degree in Building Surveying. His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in talented graduates and developing the next generation of Chartered Surveyors through structured professional training and mentoring.
Based within our Blackburn office, Oliver is already gaining valuable hands-on experience, supporting our Chartered Surveyors on a diverse range of projects while working towards Chartered status through the RICS Assessment of professional competence (APC) pathway.
Recent work carried out by Oliver includes:
- Building Condition Survey – Assisting with a Building Condition Survey at a sixth form college, including site inspections and helping to prepare the final report and recommendations using the DfE template.
- Project Monitoring and Client Reporting – Undertaking site visits on behalf of colleagues and preparing progress reports for clients.
- Contract Administration – Preparing valuations and payment certificates to help ensure contractors are paid accurately and on time.
- Design and Technical Support – Assisting with the design and specification work, producing AutoCAD drawings and supporting the delivery of a large fencing scheme.
In addition to his project work, Oliver has taken responsibility for organising Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) seminars for the firm. He is also working on the RICS assessment platform, maintaining his diary and developing his professional competencies alongside gaining valuable practical experience.
Working closely with colleagues across the Blackburn office has enabled Oliver to gain experience across a wide range of projects and responsibilities, helping him build practical knowledge and a strong foundation for his future career.
