At Lea Hough, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the delivery of surveying, building consultancy and project management services. As an independent North West firm of Chartered Surveyors, Building Consultants and Project Managers, we aim to make a positive and lasting contribution to the people, organisations and communities we work with.
We do this by supporting education and future talent, investing in our people, sharing professional knowledge, supporting local communities and considering the environmental impact of the way we work.
We recognise the importance of encouraging young people into surveying, construction and the wider built environment.
Our team supports schools and colleges through careers presentations and employability activities, including mock interviews with year 11 pupils. We also provide work experience and work-shadowing opportunities where possible, giving young people first-hand insight into careers within the profession.
We support education more widely too, including sponsoring awards that celebrate the achievements of young people.
Staff development is embedded within our business. We support graduates, degree apprentices, placement students and early-career professionals through training, mentoring and practical project experience.
Developing surveyors are supported towards professional qualifications, including Chartered status through the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), with colleagues having progressed from graduate level into senior roles within the practice.
Continuing professional development and knowledge sharing are an important part of how we work.
Our team regularly takes part in technical CPD, professional training and industry updates, including sessions with specialist manufacturers and technical organisations. We also share our expertise with clients and other organisations in areas such as building maintenance, estate management, compliance, procurement and contract administration.
As a regional practice, we believe in giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
