Role involves:
Oliver is a Graduate Building Surveyor at Lea Hough. He graduated from the University of Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Building Surveying and joined Lea Hough upon completing his studies in 2026.
Oliver’s main duties currently focus on supporting the Chartered Building Surveyors both in the office and on site. He is using this opportunity to learn from the experienced team while working towards Chartered status through the APC pathway. Oliver is gaining experience across a wide range of projects, including contract administration, design and specification, and regulatory compliance.

Oliver’s work primarily involves supporting the Building Surveying team within Lea Hough’s Blackburn office. His projects typically include academies, schools and Diocese-owned properties, providing him with experience across a diverse range of educational and ecclesiastical buildings.
Career overview:
Oliver joined Lea Hough in 2026 after completing his degree in Building Surveying at the University of Lancashire. He is now working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor by undertaking the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and following Lea Hough’s structured professional training programme.
When not in work:
Outside of work, Oliver enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. As a family, they enjoy days out and travelling abroad, with Mallorca being a recent favourite destination following their honeymoon there.
In his spare time, Oliver also enjoys painting and has a keen interest in history. He particularly enjoys activities and experiences with a historical connection.
