Congratulations are in order for William Kay, who has now passed his AssocRICS assessment and has become an RICS Registered Valuer.
Will is the latest in a long line of graduates and trainees who have come through the ranks at Lea Hough to become qualified with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Since joining Lea Hough, Will has been studying hard for his professional AssocRICS qualifications alongside his day-to-day work.
Having successfully passed his AssocRICS assessment, Will has automatically achieved RICS Registered Valuer status too.
To qualify as an RICS Registered Valuer, Will was required to demonstrate his skills, knowledge and level of competency, which is a requirement of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Will joined our Survey & Valuation team in January 2024. His workload has focussed on carrying out inspections and valuations on various commercial and residential property types for a range of lenders and private clients. He has also assisted with valuations of schools, academies and local authority assets for public sector clients.
Will’s success means that we now have another qualified member of our Valuation and Surveying Team at Lea Hough.
James Leech, Associate Partner, and commercial property valuation surveyor, said:
“Will has shown excellent commitment and attitude, and his success is richly deserved. We now look forward to supporting him with his progression to full Chartered status.”
“His qualification strengthens our commercial valuation offering to clients and brings us up to six full-time RICS Registered Valuers in total – the most that Lea Hough has ever had – and puts us in a really strong position to continue our growth.”
Lea Hough has an RICS approved Structured Training Plan, and we offer full support in training for Graduate Surveyors who are working towards their RICS Assessment to become AssocRICS, MRICS Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers.
In addition, Lea Hough is also able to offer mock APC interviews for APC candidates from other firms who are about to sit their RICS Assessment of Professional Competence. This is something that assists younger surveyors in the industry, helping them to achieve their MRCIS qualification.
