On behalf of our client, Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors have secured Planning Permission within four weeks, which is the quickest approval period for some time!
We were appointed in February; our Planning Application was submitted on 9th March and Planning Approval was granted by Ribble Valley Borough Council on 7th April.
As a consequence of Covid-19, we believe that there are fewer Planning Applications being submitted, meaning that some Local Planning Authorities are currently less stretched than they have previously been, and hence this may be a factor in the quicker than usual approval of the Planning Application.
The Planning Application was for a toilet block extension to an existing pavilion on behalf of our client, The Goosnargh & Longridge Agricultural Society.
The Main Pavilion Building is situated on Longridge Showground, near Preston, and it is used for the Goosnargh & Longridge Agricultural Show every year.
We undertook a measured survey of the existing building, prepared existing drawings, developed proposed design drawings, and submitted the Planning Application. Now that this has been approved, without any onerous pre-start Planning Conditions, we have prepared a Specification and Tender Documents and we are in the process of appointing a contractor to build the extension, as we continue to oversee the scheme from start to finish.
