Lea Hough are pleased to have managed the sale of a large piece of development land, to fruition, which will result in bringing 34 new homes to Longton, Preston.

Our Land and Development team represented the landowner client in the sale of the land, which lies on Old School Lane in Longton, to North West housing developer, Story Homes.

Having originally helped our client to identify the land as suitable  for development, Lea Hough’s team marketed the land for sale, obtaining bids from developers. With a bid accepted from Story Homes, contracts were exchanged on a subject to planning basis. The developer then prepared and submitted the planning application for the site.

Planning permission was granted in spring 2023 and the land sale deal followed shortly after; completing in July 2023.

The development, to be named Longton Grange, will consist of a range of Story Homes’ 4, 5 and 6 bedroomed properties. The development also includes an area of open public space towards the site’s south boundary.

Work has commenced on site and the development has a planned launch date of early 2024.

This deal represents a further success for Lea Hough’s team, who have overseen several major land sales during the year.
