CIF Funding Warrington

Lea Hough have helped a number of academy schools in the Warrington area to attaining funding to improve the condition of their buildings. Five schools within the area have obtained hundreds of thousands of pounds in funding via the Department for Education’s annual Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) to undertake a total of six improvement projects.

The schools, which are members of the One Community Trust in Warrington and the BEAM Academy Trust in Lymm, include Oakwood Primary School, Croft Primary School, Oughtrington Primary School¸ Thelwall Infant School and Statham Primary School.

The projects include replacement of heating distribution system at two schools, flat roof replacement (& associated high-level windows), renewal of defective roof coverings, and fire safety improvements at two schools. Now that the funding has been secured, Lea Hough will assume a Project Management role, overseeing the works that are due to take place throughout the summer holidays, ahead of the new academic year in September.

The schools in Warrington and Lymm are just some of the tens of academy, sixth-form college and voluntary aided schools that Lea Hough helped to submit bids and ascertain funding in this year’s round of CIF funding bids.

The North West saw 158 successful condition improvement fund applications in total, accounting for £58.5 million of funding. Other projects that Lea Hough will be overseeing at schools across the North West include safeguarding projects, window replacements, electrical re-wiring and new LED lighting, and Asbestos removal.

Lea Hough has helped schools in the region to secure CIF funding in excess of £55 million over recent years. This year’s CIF fund results saw Lea Hough attain more successful CIF bids than any other school building consultant in Lancashire and Cumbria.
