At Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors, 2026 is set to be a year of celebration! Over the course of the year, we are proud to recognise several significant service milestones among our team. We are delighted to highlight not only individual dedication, but also the culture of our firm.
This year, we celebrate:
Each of these milestones represents a meaningful contribution to the continued success and development of Lea Hough.
Gareth Clarke and Tom Sutton
Gareth and Tom both joined Lea Hough as young surveyors at the very start of their professional careers. Over the past decade, they have grown alongside the firm whilst simultaneously developing their technical expertise, building strong client relationships and progressing through the ranks.
We are especially proud that both Gareth and Tom achieved their MRICS qualifications whilst with us, having been supported and trained internally throughout their professional development. Their progression reflects our long-standing commitment to nurturing talent from within and investing in the future of the profession.
Today, both are Associate Partners and play a key role in shaping the direction of the firm.
Graham Margerison
Graham’s first stint working at the firm was back in 2004 when, as a Trainee Building Surveyor, he spent a year out gaining experience at Lea Hough. Joining as a fully fledged member of staff in 2006, he reaches 20 years of service this year; a milestone that is a testament to dedication, expertise and consistency.
Two decades within any organisation is a significant achievement! During this time, Graham has developed into an integral part of the team, developing close working relationships with clients from various sectors. His knowledge, professionalism and steady presence continue to be invaluable to the firm.
Sharon Rhodes
Similarly, Sharon’s 15 years of service reflect loyalty and commitment that are fundamental to our continued success. Sharon is a very loyal member of the team, having joined Lea Hough in 2011. Sharon undertakes typing and office administration tasks at the Blackburn office.
Long-serving team members like Sharon help maintain the standards, culture and client relationships that define Lea Hough.
Beyond these milestones, we are fortunate to have many longstanding members of staff across the business. Several of our partners have been with the firm for considerably longer still, reflecting a culture where people choose to build their careers over the long term.
Proud of Staff Retention and Culture
In an industry where movement between firms can be common, we are particularly proud of our strong staff retention rate.
At Lea Hough, we strive to create a workplace where people can develop professionally while feeling valued personally. From supporting graduates through their APC and MRICS qualifications, to providing leadership opportunities and encouraging continuous professional development, we believe in investing in our people for the long term.
As we mark these anniversaries throughout 2026, we extend our sincere thanks to Graham, Sharon, Gareth and Tom for their continued commitment and contribution. Their achievements are not only personal milestones but also a reflection of what Lea Hough stands for as a firm – professionalism, loyalty and long-term relationships.
We look forward to many more years of shared success.
