We have an opportunity within our Building Surveying department for an Apprentice Architectural Technician.
We are looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic college/sixth form leaver who is looking to progress to a degree in Architectural Design and Technology; or an Apprenticeship level student studying towards a Diploma in Architecture & Advanced Construction (or similar subject) and who is ultimately looking to progress to a HNC/Degree in Architectural Technology or construction related subject.
The candidate would be employed on a full time basis but would undertake studies on a part-time, day-release basic over the next few years.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of construction technology or an interest in building design. Technical drawing skills and a working knowledge of the AutoCAD drawing package would be an advantage but training will be given. An interest in Revit, SketchUp and other associated programs would also be beneficial but are not essential.
We are seeking high calibre candidates with the following qualities: strong work ethic, good communication skills, a high standard of written English and a desire to progress. A driving licence would also be advantageous.
