The Planning and Land Development team at Lea Hough has represented a private landowner in the recent sale of land in Heysham, Lancaster. The land was purchased by Stanley Investments, who have been working in partnership with Jigsaw Homes to secure planning consent.
The scheme that has been agreed will see 75 new homes being built; comprising one, two, three, and four bedroomed homes for Affordable Rent supported with a capital grant from Homes England.
A further 12 two-bedroom bungalows will be built on the development, designed to meet NDSS criteria. Plans for the site also include two areas of open space supporting a sustainable urban drainage basin, along with a high-quality equipped area of play.
The plot of land was identified for development purposes by Lea Hough and a conditional sale was agreed in 2020 with Stanley Investments. The purchasers then underwent the process of securing planning permission, which was agreed in spring 2021. The completion of the sale of land followed shortly after.
