Role involves:

Paul is responsible for leading the Building Surveying team, along with Michael Harrison.

Day to day he is predominantly focused on professional consultancy services and project management, as well as managing a team of building surveyors.

Paul has a broad range of surveying skills and detailed knowledge of property and construction. He is experienced in delivering large surveying commissions and leading complex projects, particularly for clients in the commercial and education sectors.

In his role as partner, Paul is also responsible for developing the firm as a whole and takes an active role in business development and growing the profile of the practice.

Paul’s workload is largely focussed on helping schools, academies and multi-academy trusts (MAT’s) to obtain funding for building projects, and overseeing the delivery of development plans, extensions, remodelling, repairs, maintenance and improvements to educational buildings.

In relation to commercial property and public sector clients, Paul has extensive experience of commercial property surveys, project deign and delivery, and dilapidations cases. He is able to provide strategic advice for landlords and tenants, including assistance with exit strategies from leases, and helping landlords and tenants to deal with dilapidations claims.

Additionally, he is highly experienced in project management of all types of construction and refurbishment projects for commercial clients.

Paul has over twenty-five years’ experience in professional practice.

He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Building Surveying in 1997, and then qualified as an MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with the RICS in 1999.

Paul joined Lea Hough in 2005, becoming responsible for managing and developing the Building Surveying department.

Prior to joining Lea Hough, he held similar roles at Manchester based consultancies, with his workload being concentrated the commercial and education sectors.

When not in work:

Paul has always been a sports enthusiast, having played cricket for many years for Oswaldtwistle Immanuel Cricket Club and is a season ticket holder at Burnley FC.

When not at work or on a sports field, Paul can usually be found walking with his dog, Digger, around Dean Clough Reservoir or spending time with his family.
