Re-fit on the Cards – Lea Hough Assist Clintons With New Store Opening

Lea Hough’s Commercial Property team are pleased to have recently assisted Clintons Cards with the opening of a new store in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

We worked closely with the Estates Team at Clintons Cards to assist with the re-modelling and shop-fit of the store, prior to it becoming a card shop.

Our role involved:

• Carrying out a detailed measured survey
• Preparing existing plans, elevations and section drawings of the existing shop unit
• Developing feasibility/proposed layouts for the adaptation of the store into a new card shop, to suit Clintons’ requirements
• We then developed the drawings further into a detailed set of Building Regulations drawings, to show all technical / construction details
• Submitting an application for Building Regulations to Trafford Council, liaising with the Building Control Officers
• Providing technical advice and guidance to our client, with regard to construction details, structural issues, fire safety, means of escape routes, compartmentation and general fit-out of the shop
• Whilst contractors were on site, we also carried out site visits and liaised with the client
