Blackburn Beer Festival is back for 2018 and this year is set to be bigger than ever! With the promise of over 60 real ales from across the North West, live music, street food and over 1000 attendees, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to get involved once again. Lea Hough will be supporting the fundraising efforts of the charity event by sponsoring a barrel of beer. This is the fifth year running that Lea Hough has supported the festival, which is in aid of Blackburn Youth Zone.
Set to take place at Blackburn Rugby Club on Friday 4th May, Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May, this year’s event will also offer something for non-ale drinkers, with promise of a Cuckoo gin bar! The festival will also have live music entertainment each evening, a variety of food stalls and rugby matches held over the weekend.
Paul Dignan, Chartered Surveyor at Lea Hough commented:
“Having supported Blackburn Beer Festival from when it started in 2014, we’ve been able to see the event grow each year. Last year’s festival raised over £26,000 for Blackburn Youth Zone, a total we’re proud to have contributed towards.
“Blackburn Beer Festival is now firmly established as one of the cornerstone events in the local calendar and we’re looking forward to getting involved with fundraising efforts over the weekend.”
With daily tickets available for only £5 and whole weekend passes for £10, the festival is a great value day out.
Blackburn Youth Zone is a 21st Century youth hub located in the heart of Blackburn open to young people aged 8 to 18 years old. Offering up to 20 activities each evening, the centre, which is open 7 days a week, relies on charitable donations and the support of the local business community to provide these activities and services for the low entrance fee of just 50p.
