Lea Hough has boosted its Survey and Valuation team with the appointment of James Roberts. James, who has a number of years’ experience in the field of property valuations, and whose prior experience includes dealing with both residential and commercial property, joins the team as a Surveyor.
In his new position, James will undertake property inspections and assist with the preparation of Valuation Reports, RICS Homebuyer Reports, and Building Survey Reports for a variety of clients. Alongside this, James’ role will also encompass Property Management work – undertaking Property Management services on behalf of landlords including collecting rents, periodic management inspections, identifying defects, arrangements for repairs, tenancy renewals, tenant vetting, and interviewing.
James has a strong knowledge of the North West property market, having worked across Manchester, Chorley and East Lancashire for a number of years.
In joining Lea Hough, James will begin working towards becoming a RICS Registered Valuer and Associate member of the RICS – following Lea Hough’s structured training programme that has been approved by the RICS. James is also on track to attain a BTEC Level 4 in Residential Letting and Management, which he has been working towards alongside full-time employment in his previous role.
Commenting on joining the firm, James said:
“I was looking for a firm that could help me take my career to the next level – and Lea Hough fit the bill. Their training programme has received great feedback from those that have already been through it, and the fact that I will be able to learn from the experience of other team-members will help me towards my goal of becoming Chartered.
“The fact that I’ve been given a varied role is also a bonus – allowing me to further develop my skills in valuations, surveys and property management.”
The appointment of James is the first of a number of key roles Lea Hough is looking to recruit for during 2019. For more information, visit www.leahough.co.uk
