Lea Hough are delighted to have assisted precision components manufacturer Presspart in the expansion of their Blackburn operation, advising on the purchase of ‘The Old Tuftex Building’ – a 40,000 square foot factory complex adjacent to their existing site.

Our Building Surveying and Valuation department were instructed to provide both a detailed Building Survey and pre-purchase Valuation Report on the property, which assisted Presspart in negotiating the best possible deal before going on to complete the purchase.

Since the purchase, plans have been submitted for expansion of the existing buildings, which is expected to involve a further £1m of investment into the Blackburn site. The proposals will provide additional storage space and improved welfare facilities for staff, including new and improved meeting rooms and offices.

We are pleased to have assisted such a large local employer in achieving their expansion objectives, which can only help to boost the Blackburn economy.
