We are delighted to confirm that James Roberts has now become an RICS Registered Valuer.
James joined Lea Hough as a Trainee Valuation Surveyor in early 2019, having worked as a residential estate agent for a number of years.
Since joining Lea Hough, James has been working towards his professional qualifications, recently gaining the AssocRICS qualification, closely followed by his RICS Registered Valuer qualification.
James has been following our RICS approved Structured Training Plan, in the Valuation pathway. To qualify as an RICS Registered Valuer he was required to demonstrate his skills, knowledge and level of competency, which is a requirement of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
For the past year, James has been shadowing colleagues who are Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers. He has been undertaking property inspections in their company, assisting with Valuation Reports (Red Book compliant) of houses, undertaking RICS Homebuyer Reports, etc.. He has also been carrying out an extensive number of Stock Condition Surveys and defect diagnosis for a client who has a large portfolio of residential properties.
James’ success means that we now have another qualified member of our Valuation and Surveying Team at Lea Hough. James and his colleagues cover a range of services including:
James will continue with his professional experience and his next aim is to become an MRICS Chartered Valuation Surveyor, which will involve further study and work based experience, before he goes forward to the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
James is the latest in a number of graduates who have followed Lea Hough’s RICS approved Structured Training Plan and have gained surveying qualifications. Lea Hough offer full support in training for undergraduates and graduate Surveyors who wish to work towards their RICS qualifications.
James’ qualification is brilliant news for him personally and is just reward for his efforts. Besides this, this is also excellent news for the firm as we continue to grow and move forwards!
