Lea Hough is on the lookout for two Graduate Surveyors to join our team. The positions are ideally suited to bright and enthusiastic Building Surveying graduates who are seeking to develop their careers as MRICS Chartered Building Surveyors. The roles may also be appropriate for year-out placement students or Graduate Surveyors that have commenced their training at another firm of Surveyors.
The positions will suithigh calibre candidates that have a desire to progress their careers in the surveying profession. Applicants should ideally have a RICS accredited degree qualification along with good communication skills and a high standard of written English. Due to our prominence in Lancashire, local knowledge of the Lancashire/North West region would also be advantageous.
Over the years, several of our now qualified Surveyors joined us as graduates, following our Structured Training Plan that is approved by the RICS, to become MRICS Chartered Building Surveyors. Now with the most qualified Building Surveyors the firm has ever had, we are looking to take on the next generation of recruits to guide them through to gaining their Chartered qualifications.
Our training programme provides Graduate Surveyors with a wide range of experience across all of our practice areas. As well as residential and commercial surveys and valuations, we also offer experience in our specialist areas, including the education sector, in which we have a large client base of schools, academies and Multi Academy Trusts. Other key clients include commercial property owners, PLC’s, Dioceses, rural estates, developers, banks, care homes, housing associations and private individuals.
Mat Wright, who is the firm’s most recently qualified MRICS Surveyor, commented:
“I would highly recommend Lea Hough as a place to both work and train. The team are very supportive and with seven members of the team having completed their training at Lea Hough, there is always someone there to offer help and guidance.”
Lea Hough offers several employee benefits similar to those available when working in a large firm. These include an excellent salary, payment of training costs (RICS course fees paid), pension, mileage allowance, free parking, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, in-house CPD seminars, contribution towards external CPD requirements, modern office environment. However, as a mid-sized regional firm, we believe that our employees, especially those that are looking to develop their careers in the surveying profession, benefit from a more personalised and tailored experience, enjoying a wide range of experience for great clients, whilst working directly alongside experienced Chartered Surveyor colleagues.
