Lea Hough’s Land and Development team has overseen the completion of a deal to sell a site for development for housing in Darwen.

Lea Hough represented a limited company in the sale of a plot of land, which together with another parcel of council owned land, makes up the site on which 343 homes will be built by local developer McDermott Homes.

The site, on which building is shortly set to commence, will be McDermott’s largest single development to date. Covering 22 hectares of land, the development will provide a range of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom semi-detached and detached homes with over 340 dwellings, including 67 affordable homes for local needs.

The planning deal agreed by Blackburn with Darwen Council on 27th May, will also see McDermott contribute £1.5 million of funds to be spent in the local community.

The completion of the sale represents the successful conclusion to working with our client since the land was first identified for potential development.
