About Garstang

Equidistant between the cities of Preston and Lancaster, being 10 miles away from both, Garstang is a lovely market town in the heart of Lancashire.

Garstang’s town centre is home to buildings both old and new and has historic buildings and medieval weinds (cobbled alleyways) alongside contemporary shops, restaurants and cafes. Garstang still has a weekly outdoor market every Thursday and is famous for being the world’s first ever Fairtrade Town. With the town’s market dating back to the early 1300’s and now with a range of independent retailers and food establishments, Garstang has a thriving local business community.

Set on the banks of the River Wyre and close to the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Garstang is known for its scenery. As such, visitors and residents can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including can enjoy golfing, fishing, bird watching and walking.

Due to its natural beauty, convenient amenities and excellent transport links (being close to the M6), Garstang is a popular residential location.

“We had a Schedule of Condition carried out on a Commercial Property. From vacant possession to our proposed completion date we were really tight on time. Gary managed to carry out the inspection and write a very thorough report in the time needed to ensure we hit our completion date. The price of the report was also extremely competitive.
