Senior Valuation Surveyor

Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Valuation Surveyor to lead our Commercial Property Valuation service, working within our established team of Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers.

This role represents an excellent next step for an experienced commercial valuation professional seeking greater responsibility, autonomy and career progression within a highly regarded independent practice.

A senior role within an established valuation team

Our six-strong team of RICS Registered Valuers undertakes a diverse range of valuation work across commercial, industrial, educational and residential property. As Senior Valuation Surveyor, you will play a key role in leading our commercial valuation offering, delivering high-quality advice to a broad and well-established client base.

You will be responsible for producing valuation reports for a range of purposes including loan security, accountancy, acquisition and asset valuation, with a primary focus on commercial property such as industrial, office, retail and mixed-use assets, together with some commercial and residential development schemes.

Varied work for trusted clients

Lea Hough acts for a wide range of clients including corporate organisations, local authorities, housing associations, solicitors, educational establishments, lenders, pension schemes and private investors. This provides a consistently varied and interesting workload, ensuring no two days are the same.

Importantly, you will not be a “number” in a large corporate environment. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, senior partners and other departments within a genuinely collaborative, multi-disciplinary firm.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an MRICS Chartered Surveyor or experienced AssocRICS Surveyor, who is also a RICS Registered Valuer, with significant post-qualification experience in commercial property valuation. Strong technical expertise, excellent written reporting skills and the ability to manage instructions independently are essential.

A good understanding of the North West commercial property market, strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset will be key to success in this role.

What we can offer

Lea Hough offers a supportive and professional working environment with a strong emphasis on quality, collaboration and work-life balance. The successful candidate will benefit from:

  • A varied and sustainable pipeline of high-quality work
  • A competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • An achievable and generous annual bonus
  • Company pension scheme and payment of RICS subscriptions
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Mileage allowance
  • Ongoing professional and personal development, including in-house CPD and support for external CPD
  • A modern office environment with free parking
  • Team social events
