This Christmas, Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors has once again chosen to donate to charitable causes in place of sending traditional Christmas cards. We are pleased to be supporting two special organisations whose work has a profound and lasting impact: Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Cancer Research UK.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
Alder Hey is one of Europe’s largest and most respected children’s hospitals, providing specialist care for over 330,000 children and young people every year. The hospital is recognised for its pioneering medical treatments, groundbreaking research, and innovative approach to both physical and mental health care.
Charitable donations help Alder Hey fund life-saving equipment, cutting-edge research, and enhanced facilities that make the hospital environment as welcoming and supportive as possible for young patients and their families. Contributions also support the Alder Hey Children’s Charity, which helps ensure that children receive the very best treatment, comfort, and emotional support when they need it most.
Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest independent cancer research organisation. Its mission is to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer through scientific discovery, clinical trials, and public awareness initiatives. The charity’s work has been central to improving survival rates and developing new treatments that are now used worldwide.
Donations enable Cancer Research UK to fund vital research projects, support scientists and medical professionals, and invest in early detection technologies that can help save lives. The organisation receives no government funding for its research, meaning the generosity of supporters plays a crucial role in driving progress.
By supporting these two charities, we hope to contribute in a small way to the outstanding work they undertake every day.
