Schools that have been unsuccessful in their bids in the latest round of CIF funding are being invited to have their applications reviewed free of charge by Lea Hough.

Our FREE audit service includes:

  • conducting a review of previous CIF bids that have been unsuccessful
  • making recommendations of what can be improved
  • undertaking a survey of the school site to identify any potential projects suitable for CIF funding applications

Depending on the outcome of our findings, we will then be able to work with the school to:

  • rework an unsuccessful application, managing the process of preparing and submitting a revised bid in the next round of CIF
  • prepare and submit a different project for funding in the next round of CIF
  • advise on other sources of funding, such as the public sector decarbonisation scheme (PSDS)

As each school is able to submit up to two funding applications each year via CIF, it may be that we are able to identify more than one project that has CIF funding potential.

Our education team have an excellent track record of helping schools in Lancashire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester to achieve funding via the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF). Due to our extensive experience helping schools to obtain funding, we are very well-placed to be able to advise what is likely to be successful in a funding application.

An academy school client of Lea Hough has described our work on CIF bids as “an all-round exceptional service”, continuing: “One of the strengths of Lea Hough is their communication: queries are answered swiftly and regular updates are provided during a project. They are happy to explain things in detail and do so in a way which is easy for a non-specialist to understand.”

Another academy trust described our help as “critical” in securing funding for school improvement works.

Lea Hough’s CIF audit and application service comes with no cost for the school, with the fees for our professional project management services being built into the bid for any funding that is approved.
