UK wide chartered surveying

Although the majority of survey work undertaken by Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors is based across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester, our team has recently seen a noticeable increase in property inspections being commissioned further afield across England.

Much of this work has been instructed by our retained clients, who continue to place their trust in Lea Hough to deliver professional, reliable advice – even when the properties in question are located well beyond our traditional North West catchment area. Rather than appointing local surveyors, these clients have chosen to maintain their working relationships with us, recognising the value of our consistency, technical expertise and understanding of their property portfolios.

Recent UK-Wide Instructions

Over recent months, we’ve been instructed to carry out a wide range of survey and valuation work across the country, including:

  • Knaresborough, North Yorkshire – Dilapidations assessment on a large commercial site.
  • Wellingborough, Northamptonshire – Acting on behalf of a commercial property tenant in a dilapidations matter.
  • Dunstable, Bedfordshire – Commercial property inspection and report.
  • Poole, Dorset – Condition assessment of a large commercial site for a Lancashire-based property company.
  • Hessle, East Yorkshire – Building survey of a commercial property.
  • Maryport, West Cumbria – Inspection and reporting for a PLC client on a commercial property.
  • Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria – Project management of a £1 million repair and improvement scheme for a retained client.
  • Heathrow, London – Schedule of Condition for a Greater Manchester client taking a lease on a new depot near Heathrow Airport.
  • London, York & Leeds – Insurance reinstatement cost assessments on behalf of a housing association client.
  • Walsall – Depreciated Replacement Cost (DRC) valuations on four primary schools for an education trust.
  • Northallerton, North Yorkshire – DRC valuation on a primary school for an education trust.
  • Stoke-on-Trent – DRC valuation on a high school for an education trust.
  • Coventry – Pre-purchase survey and feasibility advice for a Supported Living Provider, assessing potential for property extension.
  • Barnsley, South Yorkshire – Remodelling project to sub-divide and refurbish an existing care home, for a Supported Living Provider.

Whilst Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors do not actively seek new instructions outside of our North West base, the breadth of these recent examples highlights the strength of our client relationships and the trust placed in our team.

Our retained clients consistently choose to work with Lea Hough across the length and breadth of the UK, confident in the quality, diligence and professionalism of the service we provide, wherever their property interests may be located.
