Our Surveyors are currently working with several Academy Schools & Sixth Form Colleges to assist them in preparing funding applications for building projects in 2017, via the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF).
All Academies who we have worked with in previous years have re-appointed us to act on their behalf again, after previous successes. Additionally, we have this year been instructed by a number of new academy school clients, following recommendations and referrals.
CIF applications must be submitted to the EFA in December. The results of the funding application process are announced in April, in order for building projects to be undertaken on site during summer 2017.
Our role involves surveying the school buildings, identifying suitable projects that meet this year’s funding criteria, specifying works, obtaining contractors’ prices, bid writing and preparing all supporting information for the submission of a funding application. Then, if projects are successful, we will oversee the contract works on site next summer.
