As a Building Surveyor, Paul’s role within the Building Surveying team covers a variety of tasks, including survey inspections / condition survey reports for commercial clients, property owners and school clients. Additionally, he specifies, designs, tenders and administers contracts for a variety of construction, conversion, refurbishment and extension projects.
He also carries out professional work including Party Wall matters and boundary assessments.

Paul’s experience is predominantly in building surveying, property restoration, condition survey inspections and specification/project management for both public sector an private clients.
Paul has many years’ experience in property renovation and surveying, initially qualifying as a Chartered Landscape Architect before converting to become a Building Surveyor.
He also specialises in Party Wall matters, being a Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (MFPWS), with an extensive portfolio of experience working on a variety of Party Wall cases both locally and nationally.
He is experienced in defect diagnosis and the renovation of old buildings.
Paul started his professional career as a Chartered Landscape Architect and has a BA (Hons) degree in Landscape Architecture from Leeds Met University, before becoming a Building Surveyor.
Prior to joining Lea Hough in 2019, Paul gained varied experience as a Building Surveyor whilst at two private practices in Lancashire over the last few years.
Paul is currently on the APC professional route to become a Chartered Building Surveyor with the RICS.
When not in work:
Paul enjoys spending time with his two children and socialising with friends and family. In his spare time he enjoys undertaking home renovating projects, gardening, sport and supporting his local football team.
