Josh Wardle

Role involves:

As is the norm for Building Surveyors in professional practice, Josh’s role is varied – he covers a variety of surveying tasks, on a mixture of property types, for clients from different sectors.

As a Graduate Building Surveyor, Josh undertakes survey inspections and prepares Condition Survey Reports, writes Specifications and prepares drawings, obtains tender prices from contractors and oversees building projects such as repairs, refurbishments, conversions and extensions.

Josh also assists his Chartered Building Surveyor colleagues with inspecting buildings, preparing condition reports and project management services. Where required, he will also provide advice in respect of Planning Applications and Building Regulations and architectural design.

Josh is working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor by following Lea Hough’s structured training programme that is approved by the RICS.

Josh enjoys putting his construction knowledge into practice by undertaking inspections, condition assessments and measured surveys of property. He generally assists colleagues with drawings, specifications and undertaking inspections of building works for ongoing maintenance and refurbishment contracts.


Career overview:

Josh joined Lea Hugh as a Graduate Building Surveyor after completing an MSc (Hons) degree in Commercial Building Surveying at Liverpool John Moores University.

Prior to working at Lea Hough, Josh completed work experience with other surveying firms and he also worked throughout his time at University.

Josh hopes to undergo the RICS’s Assessment of Professional Competence and become a Chartered Building Surveyor, through Lea Hough’s graduate training programme.


When not in work:

Josh has a keen interest in sport. He plays semi-professional football for Witton Albion in The Northern Premier League, which involves training two nights a week and playing on Saturdays. Josh is also a keen gym-goer and footballer and enjoys the occasional hike.
