Richard works as part of the Building Surveying team to provide a conception to completion service on design and construction projects. Richard prepares design proposals and detailed construction drawings, as well as preparing specifications and managing projects on site.
He also undertakes property inspections and prepares Stock Condition Survey reports to advise clients regarding the planning and programming of planned preventative maintenance works to their property portfolios, particularly in the care sector.

Area of expertise:
Richard is technically minded and very proficient in the use of AutoCAD, the computer aided design package which is used for the production of architectural drawings and he has a strong background in Planning Permissions, Listed Building Consents and Building Regulations compliance for both residential and commercial properties.
Richard joined Lea Hough in April 2014 after spending 10 years as a senior technician and building surveyor at another local practice.
Having a keen interest in built heritage, Richard is currently undertaking an MSc in Building Conservation & Urban Regeneration, and has previously attended the renowned SPAB – Repair of Old Building course.
When not in work:
Richard enjoys snowboarding, socialising, tinkering with cars and undertaking DIY projects around his own home.
