James is part of our Building Surveying department and his role includes undertaking inspections of buildings, preparing condition reports, and overseeing repair and adaptation projects to buildings.
As well as this, he also undertakes Property Management services, which includes the collection of rents, arrangements for repairs, renewals, tenant vetting and interviewing.
James is working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor and is following Lea Hough’s structured training programme that is approved by the RICS.

Having undertaken his degree in Building Surveying, James has an excellent knowledge of construction. James main skills relate to undertaking detailed inspections to assess the condition and suitability of all types of properties.
He enjoys advising clients in respect of repair, alteration and refurbishment of their properties and he ensures that work is carried out to the highest standard.
James joined our team in 2017, after graduating from the University of Salford, with a degree in Building Surveying.
Prior to working at Lea Hough, he worked on a part time basis at another local firm of chartered surveyors whilst completing his degree part time. As well as this, he has spent several years in the retail industry, whilst studying for his degree.
When not in work:
James is a keen rugby player and plays for Burnley RUFC’s 1st team that recently won promotion. He also enjoys socialising with friends and family.
