Lea Hough Invest in the Future With New Recruits
Aiden Cotton has taken up the role of Building Surveyor and will largely undertake work for our commercial client base. Aiden’s particular area of expertise is in undertaking condition surveys, and preparing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schemes, after having undertaken survey inspections upon a vast stock of properties for a large utilities provider, whilst working for a private consultancy in Manchester. Aiden will work towards gaining his accreditation as a Chartered Building Surveyor alongside his day-to-day work via our training programme that is approved by the RICS.
Also joining the team is Mat Wright, who we have taken on as a Trainee Building Surveyor. Mat’s role will involve assisting with inspections of buildings, measured surveys, design drawings, the preparation of condition reports and project management services. Alongside this, Mat is working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor by following Lea Hough’s RICS-approved structured training programme.
The new recruitments come only weeks after Lea Hough announced we were joining forces with Lancaster surveying firm, Matthew Parkinson Surveyors.
Paul Dignan, Partner, commented:
“Finding experienced MRICS qualified Chartered Surveyors in our sector is proving very difficult so we have decided to take the approach of taking on Aiden and Mat and training them in house. Our training programme has proven to develop highly skilled Chartered Surveyors and we know that having been trained by us, they will provide high standards and quality service to clients.
“It’s an exciting time to work at Lea Hough at the moment – we have a new Partner, we’re really busy across all areas of the practice and our lovely new offices are proving to be a real hit with staff and visitors alike”.
